What is CNMV?
In short
The CNMV is Spain's financial regulator, and brokers that hold its licence are supervised for their Spanish business.
A regulator licenses a firm, sets the rules it must follow and polices them, so the name on a broker's list tells you which country's rules your money sits under. The CNMV, the Comision Nacional del Mercado de Valores, supervises financial firms in Spain. It appears in the regulator field of Bit2Me, alongside Darwinex, which also lists the FCA and holds the CNMV licence 311. Openbank lists the CNMV as well. Licence numbers matter because they point back to a public record you can check rather than a claim on a website.
